So, this time last night we were just finishing up our Tenx9 evening on the theme of "Scundered"
Scundered, for those of you who don't know, is a fine Belfast word that mostly means "embarrassed". We have a huge debt of thanks for Orlaith Hendron who suggested the theme. Orlaith runs events on the theme of Scundered where brave brave people read from their teenage diaries in public. We'll let you know when the next of these events happens.
Orlaith came to us with a suggestion for the theme of 'scundered' and we were captured by it immediately.
Tonight's Tenx9 on Karma was a night of such variety of story. We heard stories about death, waiting, yoga, pashminas, unexpected friendships, revenge, loss, decisions in a moment, stories about love, stories about pain, stories about truthful and terrible things.

What a great night. And it's great to welcome Seán back home from his exile in Londontown.
We had a great night tonight at Tenx9, hearing stories of moving from London to Switzerland to Belfast; the body of a brother laid out in a home; living in one place and yearning for another; asking inappropriate questions in the home of a friend; finding home on a ship in Japan; coming home drunk for the first time; being petrified at home; finding home in friends but not dodgy landlords in Spain; and finding home in being a parent.
